Dave McLean
Dave McLean is General Partner at Sevin Rosen Funds (SRF) and serves as a member of the Market6 Board of Directors. Dave first met the Market6 founders as part of a Sevin Rosen seed project focused on retail store level visibility and has worked with Bill and Wayne since the Company’s first institutional investment in 2006.
At SRF, Dave focuses on “company building” early stage information services, intelligent database technologies and cloud-based platforms with capital efficient business models in sectors with few venture=backed competitors. He relies on his extensive operating background to help his portfolio companies from concept phase to profitability. Prior to joining the firm, Dave was the CEO of two Sevin Rosen start-ups; Applied WDM and Cicada. He began his career with IBM’s Technology Group where he focused on high performance computing and spearheaded the worldwide introduction of IBM's signal processing product line.
In addition to Market6, Dave currently serves on the board of SensorLogic, BioBDx and Hexatech.
J. Mark Harran
Serving as a member of the Market6 Board of Directors, J. Mark Harran is a strategic consultant, specializing in helping C-level management teams develop actionable business strategies. Mark's clients include AT&T, SUPERVALU, Catalina Marketing Services, IKON, Coles Meyer and Bols Wessanen.
Mark served as Senior Vice President, Sales, Customer Development and Marketing Services of Kraft General Foods. During his 30-year career at Kraft, some of his most notable accomplishments include:
- Creating a single sales force from six sales forces to leverage the company's scale to an increasingly consolidated U.S. food retailing industry
- Forming customer business teams to better serve retail customers
- Developing successful new brands and products, including Shake'nBake, StoveTop Stuffing, and Jell-O Pudding Pops
- Co-creating and implementing the Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) initiative to remove $40B in unnecessary costs from the U.S. food supply chain
Mark received a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University.
John Jaggers
John Jaggers has been associated with Sevin Rosen Funds (SRF) since 1988 and is a General Partner with the firm. Prior to SR Funds, John worked with small, rapidly growing technology companies at Rotan Mosle, providing venture capital and corporate finance services. He also has experience as a design and software engineer.
From 1988 to 1993, John was an investing general partner at SRF. Since 1993, he has acted as the firm's administrative general partner working through the financial, legal, and administrative details associated with each deal.
John is on the board of Capstone Turbine Corporation, a public microturbine manufacturer; and FourthWall Media, Inc., a company providing interactive programming and advertising to the cable television industry. In addition, he served on the Board of the National Venture Capital Association from 2006-2010.
He holds a BA and MEE in Electrical Engineering from Rice University and a MBA from Harvard University.
Paul Bartlett, Partner
Paul Bartlett is a partner of Rho Ventures where he focuses on investments in software and new media. Prior to joining Rho in 2007,Paul was an executive-in-residence at New Enterprise Associates and managing director at One Equity Partners, the private equity arm of JP MorganBank.
He has also worked with Sprout Venture Capital Group, where he spent seven years and left as a general partner. Previously, he spent eight years in operating positions as either CEO or COO for three public companies (Critical Path, Hall Kinion and Quintus), one of which he took public.
Paul's interests include Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business models, traditional IT data and security products, online marketing and ad-driven businesses as well as other emerging new media opportunities. He received an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Princeton University.
He has an ongoing interest in supporting educational organizations and has served for the last 10 years as a trustee to the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
