Data Quality Analyst

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Data Quality Analyst is to analyze data flow issues in order to ensure quality and resolve data errors at the customer level.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand business and process data flows; trace data from input to processing to end reports, identifying trouble spots and root cause issues.  Assess and help resolve identified data issues.
  • Make recommendations for process flow improvements to enhance data quality and consistency. 
  • Use SQL and BI to run queries as part of problem solving process
  • Assist with data QA on an ongoing basis, ensuring that customers are receiving high quality, data that meets their business needs.
  • Collaborate with operations, development, and customer service teams to gather information, investigate, and resolve data issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong business and technical acumen to effectively identify business, process and data flow issues.
  • Interest in learning serious SQL & BI skills to build and run queries as part of data analysis. 
  • BA/BS in technical, research related or analytical field.
  • Experience in retail supply chain/store ordering processes and technology a plus.
  • Outstanding analytical ability to analyze and synthesize data and information and develop solutions to issues
  • Outstanding communications skills to effectively collaborate with related stakeholders.
  • Self starter with ability to take initiative on projects.
  • Track, analyze, and report on data flow trends, enhancements, needs, etc.
  • Candidates with business/analytical ability along with desire to learn technical side are ideal.  Market6 will provide SQL/BI training for the right candidate.
