Bill Purcell - Chief Executive Officer
Bill Purcell is the Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Market6. Bill is a pioneer in bringing new technology to the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry, having co-founded Apollo Space Management, efficient market services (ems), planetU and now Market6.
Bill gained operating experience from American Stores (now part of SUPERVALU/Albertsons) in a variety of store management, marketing and technology roles.
Bill served as Co-Founder and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Apollo Space Management System, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Information Resources Inc. (now, Symphony/IRI), Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of efficient market services (ems), Chief Executive Officer and Founder of planetU, and Chief New Markets Officer at Transora (now 1SYNC).
Bill's career highlights include:
- Installing one of the first POS scanning systems in 1978
- Developing the Apollo Space Management System, the world market leader in space management and category management software
- Assisting in the launch of InfoScan, which changed marketing research and syndicated data industries in the consumer packaged goods industry
- Implementing ems as a leading provider of daily POS-based consumer demand data used for supply chain applications
- Launching the first paperless coupon service with planetU, which linked Internet-delivered consumer promotion offers directly to retailer frequent-shopper cards
Bill studied Computer Science and Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Food Industry Management Program at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Southern California.
Wayne Levy - Chief Technology Officer
Wayne Levy is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Market6. Wayne has been developing practical forecasting technologies and models in the areas of promotion and price demand response, inventory estimation, consumer choice and inventory flow with major retailers and manufacturers for over 35 years. Wayne was a co-founder and CEO of efficient market services (ems). Previously Wayne served as the Executive Vice President of Product Development for A.C. Nielsen, Director of Sales and Marketing Information for H.J. Heinz and Director of Decision Support Systems for Needham, Harper & Steers Advertising.
Wayne's career highlights include:
- Co-developing one of the earliest and largest successful Computer Automated Ordering (CAO) systems with Kroger
- Developing the first systems to monitor and forecast consumer demand from POS data on a daily basis
- Developing ScanFactPC, the leading software for monitoring sales and promotion execution for ACNielsen
- Assisting in the design of Apollo Space Management System's algorithms with the ABA group as their initial customer at Heinz
- Developing systems to determine promotional impact on consumer sales at Heinz
- Creating innovative media optimization models at Needham, Harper & Steers
Wayne attended the University of Chicago and has an M.A. in Sociology specializing in quantitative methods.
Bill Spellman – Chief Financial Officer
Bill brings over 25 years of company building experience to Market6 to support the day-to-day execution of its high growth information services business. An operating executive with deep roots in IT and finance, Bill has spent a career helping companies, from start-ups to Fortune 15 companies, deliver the power of data to their customers through world-class products and services.
Bill honed his global operating skills at IBM, having served in both its worldwide corporate and European headquarters. He later applied his expertise to early stage start-ups and mid-tier growth businesses in the IT, telecom and healthcare services sectors. Prior to joining Market6 Bill helped INC Research Inc., a leading Contract Research Organization realize four years of spectacular growth culminating in a significant private equity transaction.

- Produced strong returns as operating executive in the e-commerce, IT and healthcare services sectors
- Built financial teams in two companies that grew 300% in three years
- Played a key role in a number of complex M&A transactions

Bill graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and earned his CPA license in the State of New York.
Bob Wilson - Executive Vice President of Marketing & Business Development
Serving as Executive Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at Market6, Bob Wilson brings extensive sales and marketing experience in both direct store delivery and warehouse delivered products, as well as technology knowledge for fast moving goods.
Bob's career highlights include:
- Growing YesVideo business from 50 camera stores to over 50,000 mass-merchant outlets worldwide
- Leading the IRI development and implementation of the Safeway Category Optimization Process
- Co-founding the trade marketing department at Del Monte Foods
- Developing multiple optimization processes and software at Del Monte Foods and IRI
- Developing innovative trade marketing practices as Zone Marketing Manager at Frito-Lay
Bob received a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an M.B.A. from Dartmouth College.
Dave Holloman - Senior Vice President, Professional Services
Dave's career has spanned the worlds of management consulting, technology, and private equity. The common thread between these worlds is the entrepreneurial opportunity, leading and building new organizations around fresh ideas in the marketplace. He is an accomplished senior executive in general management, forming and leading new organizations around fresh ideas in the marketplace.
Dave's functional expertise includes strategic planning, go-to-market execution, and supply chain. Dave brings over 20 years of experience applying technology and leading practices to help companies develop new sources of competitive advantage.
Some of Dave's career highlights include:
- Managing Partner, Americas Consumer Products Leader for Capgemini Consulting. Under Dave's tenure, Capgemini's revitalized its presence in the consumer products industry and enjoyed 75% growth in the industry.
- Numerous executive positions with IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Consulting, including practice positions leading PwC's Consumer Strategy Practice, Organizational Change, and Go-to-market excellence.
- Dave's work in management consulting includes working with senior executive teams in the consumer products and retail industries focused on use of supply chain as a go-to-market asset, development of best in class go-to-market excellence, global account management, and innovation
Dave is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). Dave received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
