Who is Market6?

Market6® is a leading provider of web-based retail analytics solutions allowing Kroger and CPG companies to collaborate and produce measurably better results especially in the areas of merchandising, on shelf availability, promotional effectiveness, reducing products out of stock, inventory efficiency and daily in-store execution.

We are headquartered in Deerfield, IL and have offices in Cincinnati, OH. 

When was Market6 formed?

Market6® was founded in 2006 by a group of seasoned retail analytics experts with decades of experience building demand forecasting and other analytic solutions  for retailers and CPG companies.

Building on their leadership experience at companies like ACNielsen, IRI and others, the team formed Market6 to help create better demand forecasting applications based on next day access to a retailer’s complete set of daily store/item level sales and inventory data.

Over the years, Market6 has worked with many of the  leading grocers and consumer goods companies on analytics projects. Along the way the company has accumulated rich expertise and extensive intellectual property on how best to build and deploy retail analytics solutions, all of which are now available to other retailers and consumer goods companies. In 2016, Market6 merged with 84.51° to deliver more personalized shopping experience for Kroger customers.

How does Market6’s software work?

Each night (or week) Market6® gets data feeds from a customer through a secure process and loads that data into Market6’s secure hosted environment. The data is loaded into the Market6 foundational layer where it is quickly cleaned up, integrated, and enhanced with new analytics so that each morning the customers business users can access the latest data, analytics and reports through a browser on their computer or through their tablet or mobile device. Market6’s ID and password provisioning process protects against data breeches and makes sure that users only get access to the data, reports and analytics they should see. 

How much IT resource is required to successfully implement Market6?

Less than you might think. Because of the expertise we have in data integration, data cleansing and data transformation, we are able to deliver solutions anywhere from 30-90 days, depending on what our customers need. We work with your technical staff to source the data that we need to generate your reports & analytics and then we refresh them a nightly basis.  Nearly all of the heavy data lifting is done by Market6 allowing our customers to focus on other pressing issues. 

Can Market6 solutions ‘speak’ directly to my internal business systems?

Yes, we have a well-defined set of ‘write back’ capabilities and integration layers to help you get the most out of your investment in your existing systems by making them smarter.  Some of our customers also integrate Market6 analytics directly into  replenishment buying systems or merchandising systems saving them the effort of having to log into two different systems.

How does Market6 make sure that the data they get from their customers and host in their data center is secure?

Market6® approaches security at a very detailed level.  End users can be identified via single sign on or user ID and password.  Additionally IP address filtering can be added when desired as can data encryption and SSL.  Security can be applied at the user, role, or company level.  Once a user is identified data is secured down to the location/product/measure level.  For example two users may be able to see data at a store level for store 32 for a given product but only one of the users will be allowed to see cost information.

How much does it cost to run Market6 solutions in my company?

One of the major benefits of our business model is that our customers can get started with a solution that isn’t hugely expensive and pay as they grow.

What kind of training does Market6 offer?

Market6® provides online training resources on its detailed and up-to-date Learning Center linked to the main data portal. This Learning Center contains a knowledgebase for each report and service provided. Within this knowledgebase are links to the many other materials available, including but not limited to:

  • Training Videos that describe “how to” run reports as well as videos that provide both retailer and manufacturer best practices for getting the most of the products and services available.
  • Recordings of educational Webinars
  • “Quick Starts”…one-page annotated report samples

What kind of support does Market6 offer?

Market6® offers support for our clients through a robust helpdesk, which answers all types of questions including questions about system access, reporting, training, data availability, data definitions and anything our clients need to know. 

How do I get technical support for using Market6's analytic applications?

Any issues can be submitted to the Market6® support team by sending an e-mail to support@market6.com. This will open a ticket in our helpdesk system.  A ticket can also be submitted directly via our helpdesk at http://demandview.freshdesk.com/

How do I get help if I forgot my login to access my Market6 reports and analytics?

You can recover your login ID or password by sending an email to the Market6® support team at support@market6.com.
