Jim Kelly is an industry leader in retailer information solutions with a record of building successful companies. Most recently, he was Worldwide Vice President of Big Data Platform Sales for IBM, where he led the rapid expansion of IBM's Big Data platform sales worldwide by leveraging Netezza into the other IBM Big Data products and vertical solutions. Prior to IBM, he was Vice President and General Manager, Retail and Consumer Products Markets for Netezza, responsible for the strategy and rapid growth of this important Netezza business unit. In 2000, he founded Spotlight Solutions, a retail price optimization software company that eventually became part of Oracle. Earlier, he co-founded Kelly Information Systems, a retail business intelligence software company that was acquired by Intrepid Systems. Kelly started his career in 1985, when he joined Teradata when it was a start-up and helped build their retail solution practice and customer base.
